Professional Engineer Launches New Consulting Firm

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.—Matt Bedinghaus, a professional electrical engineer with over 25 years of experience, has launched A2V Partners LLC, a new engineering firm in Springfield, Missouri. Bedinghaus will serve as the new firm’s chief engineer and says his new firm will perform studies and help create expansion plans for utilities and industrial customers across the country.
“At no other time in our history has there been so much opportunity for electrical utility companies of all kinds,” Bedinghaus said. “With new technologies to deploy, new forms of energy to tap into and increasing demand, the utility providers of the future are making their plans today. We offer up our experience and hope to assist them as they do so.”
Bedinghaus said he named his new company in honor of the “partnership” of André Marie Ampère, Alessandro Volta and all of the other pioneers in Electrical Engineering, before and since, that developed the math, science and technologies electrical engineers utilize today in their work.
Bedinghaus earned his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1984 and his MBA in Finance from Rockhurst College in Kansas City in 1990. He has served a number of utility and engineering firms, including EPS Engineering & Design, Toth & Associates, LCA Inc., and St. Joseph Light & Power Company.
Most of our experience has been in medium to high voltage power systems,” Matt said. “We plan to do a lot of design of new substations, modifying existing systems and studies for system improvement, however, we have literally done projects from ‘direct current to blue light.’”
